About Art Teachers' Art
The Event
Rick Pantele, founder of the IncredibleArtist.Com Gallery, and Louisa Castrodale, Palm Springs Unified School District Visual & Performing Arts Specialist, came up with the idea of creating an art show specifically for teachers within the district. PSUSD encompasses 5 cities, 25 school sites and over 24,000 students.
Within the teaching community, there are many talented artists who put kids first, and their own art aspirations second, and gladly so. Pantele and Castrodale wanted to create an opportunity to shine the spotlight on the teacher’s talents for their students, student’s families, other staff members of PSUSD and the larger community.
In partnership with David Hill, General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs, they will be presenting the exhibition ArtTeachers’Art on Feb 10th, 2009, from 5 to 8 pm in the lobby space of the Hyatt. All are welcome to come and celebrate the art created by the talented teachers that are educating our young people, the artists of tomorrow!
Louisa Castrodale
Louisa Castrodale, Visual and Performing Arts Specialist for PSUSD, has been teaching for 15 years. She has a background in both fine arts and elementary education, as well as being a poet and artist. In her current position, Castrodale is responsible for coordinating art, music, dance and drama programs in Palm Springs Unified School District.

Opened in 2007, the IncredibleArtist.Com Gallery in Downtown Palm Springs is already one the best-known art galleries in the entire Coachella Valley. Besides selling art and promoting its artists, IncredibleArtist.Com is also heavily involved with community and charity programs: The Art4aCure cancer benefit in Santa Monica, the Incredible Art Tour that took artists and their works to a dozen PSUSD schools, donations of art to local charity benefits, and much more.
